Our History

Hereford House Steakhouse originally opened next to the Kansas City stockyards, in October 1957.

Mike Issa is passionate about exceptional food and warm hospitality. He and his family have been serving fine foods and wines to customers for over 30 years in the Wichita area. His dream was to bring the finest steakhouse to the Wichita area. Because of its long tradition of excellence and quality Mike chose the Hereford House Restaurant.

Hereford House Steakhouse proudly serves Sterling Silver Beef. The top 12% of all beef, Sterling Silver Steaks are hand selected, aged, hand cut right here at the Hereford House. Then they are seared to perfection in our 1000 degree broiler. a 1000 degree sear that holds in the natural juices for a premier eating experience. The “Sterling Silver” brand of steaks are specially selected for Hereford House Restaurants and are served in our restaurants, every day, steaks that are aged, hand cut and seared to perfection in our 1000 degree broiler just for you.
